We love a good picnic here at Colony Cocktails and there is nothing better than entertaining al fresco. Nobody likes an overcomplicated menu which is why we love this easy yet outrageously delicious take on the classic French Onion dip, that conveniently pairs perfectly with our Biarritz cocktail. Simple ingredients, a little chopping and stirring and you’re done! And for those out there who have an aversion to cottage cheese just like our cofounder Philip, we can assure you that you don’t even notice it’s in there!

Elegant French Onion Dip

1 lbs cottage cheese 4% fat (small curd, cream style if available, otherwise you can strain some of the whey before adding to the bowl)

2/3 cup Sour Cream

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1.5 tablespoons minced shallot

1 tablespoon minced chives or green onions

1 tablespoon minced parsley 

Mix all ingredients, cover and chill before serving. 

Serve with toasted baguette or potato chips.
